Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Jan Green, Executive Director of Public Schools Metropolitan Directorate, visited our school. Conversations with the students were a powerful reminder of the impact student voice can have in shaping a positive and inclusive school culture. Jan was particularly impressed by the clarity of student ideas and the collaborative spirit that they bring to driving change at UPS.
Staff and student efforts do not go unnoticed. Jan looks forward to seeing how our initiatives continue to grow and hopes we have many more opportunities to connect and work together.
'Keep leading with purpose and conviction—you’re making a real difference'.
Our School Motto - "Learning for Life"
Learning is not just something that happens inside the classroom – it’s a lifelong journey. Every day brings new opportunities to explore, question, create, and grow.
At our school, we nurture a love of learning that extends beyond lessons, encouraging curiosity, resilience, and confidence so students are prepared for the challenges and possibilities of the future.
Learning for life means developing the skills, values, and mindset to thrive, contribute, and keep growing, no matter where life takes us.
Every day is a chance to discover something new, ask questions, and challenge yourself. At our school, we believe in learning for life—building curiosity, confidence, and skills.
Our School Choir
Being part of a choir helps students build confidence, develop their musical skills, and experience the power of creating something beautiful together. It teaches commitment, listening, and harmony, both musically and socially.
Most importantly, choir brings people together, reminding us that every voice matters.
100 Days of Learning
Kindergarten students celebrate 100 days of learning, growth, and fun! The day is filled with exciting activities. Students share in the joy of becoming “100 Days Smarter.” It's a wonderful milestone that highlights all the learning achieved throughout the year.
Parliament House Excursion
Students are provided with the opportunity to visit NSW Parliament House, where they explore Australia’s democratic processes in action. Students tour Parliament House and learn about the roles of members in both the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. They particularly enjoy role-playing and discovering how a bill is passed through Parliament.
